THE BIG REVEAL - POSTPONED
*** THE TILES ARE IN PLACE ALREADY BUT THE PUBLIC LAUNCH HAS BEEN POSTPONED BECAUSE OF BAD WEATHER FORECAST. ***
Opening of an exhibition of ceramic tiles decorated by schoolchildren at Batheaston Church School. The children have been working with artist Marian Hill to design images inspired by the animals and insects living in and near the River Avon.
The National Trust has given permission for the exhibition to be fixed onto the wooden fence near the pedestrian bridge leading to Bathampton Meadows from Batheaston Riverside car park. It will be a permanent exhibition, remaining in place for passersby to enjoy.
The launch will be attended by the children, Marian Hill, Joanne Radway (National Trust Community Ranger) and anyone who would like to join us and be among the first to admire the tiles.
This is a Grow Batheaston initiative. It connects with the River Evening we are presenting on Friday 6th June.
