Wildlife Group
The Wildlife group is for Batheastoners who want to learn about and support the wildlife living around us.
We love to share our discoveries and photos, whether it is a strange bug in a window box, buzzards circling above Batheaston, or signs of beavers and otters in the River Avon.
Our Wildlife group is managed via WhatsApp, which is used to share sightings, knowledge and news.
We also get together in person for adhoc events. Last year we planted wildflowers in the village to encourage pollinators, celebrated the return of beavers to the River Avon with an evening of talks and films, and had a guided walk through Bathampton Meadows Nature Reserve. Our Wildlife events are publicised in the Diary.
